Monticello Academy Charter School

Expansion Project When Monticello Charter School came to us, the clock was already running. With only nine months until the school needed to open its expanded facility and begin generating enrollment revenue, there was no margin for error and no time for a slow start. Engaged as Owner’s Representative and Construction Manager, we immediately took the lead across every phase of the project — from initial budgeting and architect selection through design, procurement, and construction management. One of our first priorities was aligning the design process directly with the established budget, ensuring the school’s vision never outpaced its financial reality. Once design was complete, we managed a competitive general contractor selection process and oversaw the full construction effort through to completion. Throughout the project, we worked closely with the school’s public financing team to ensure every decision met state procurement compliance requirements — a critical element for any publicly financed educational facility. From conception to completion in nine months, the expansion was delivered on time for the school’s opening day — allowing Monticello Charter School to welcome students, fulfill enrollment commitments, and begin generating the revenue they were counting on. This project is a direct demonstration of what experienced owner’s representation delivers: leadership, accountability, and the ability to move fast without cutting corners.

Public

DFCM | Lost Creek State Park Campground

Our team provided full-scope construction management and general contracting services for the development of Lost Creek State Park — a project that transformed raw land into a fully operational recreational destination.

The scope of work encompassed the construction of a water treatment plant, including well drilling and pumping systems engineered to deliver safe, reliable water service to the entire park. We also constructed a Level 3 septic system, meeting the highest regulatory standards for wastewater treatment in a sensitive natural environment, alongside extensive water and sewer line installation throughout the property.

Beyond the utility infrastructure, our team delivered the complete build-out of 30 full-service campsites, each designed to accommodate modern amenities while complementing the natural surroundings. The project also included a large public bathroom facility and a dedicated security complex housing the park ranger office — ensuring the park is equipped to serve and protect visitors year-round.

From underground infrastructure to finished structures, this project reflects our commitment to quality, environmental stewardship, and delivering complex public works on time and on budget.

Tenant Improvement

Dillon Toyota | Corporate Office Build Out

Our team was engaged to complete a comprehensive interior renovation of Dillion Toyota’s active dealership facility — a project that demanded as much logistical precision as it did construction expertise. Recognizing that shutting down operations was never an option, we developed and executed a carefully coordinated phasing plan that allowed Dillion Toyota to remain fully operational throughout the entire construction process. At no point were their customers inconvenienced or their internal operations disrupted — a result that required constant communication, flexible scheduling, and disciplined site management. The renovation encompassed a wide range of spaces across the facility, including executive offices, conference rooms, a showroom sales floor, employee locker rooms, and a parts storage area. Each space was finished to a high standard, reflecting the professional image Dillion Toyota holds with its customers and staff alike. This project stands as a strong example of our ability to manage complex renovations in occupied, high-traffic commercial environments — delivering a fully transformed facility without costing our client a single day of business.

Higher Education

University of Utah | Thomas S. Monson Center

Thomas S. Monson Center — Structural & Mechanical Renovation Built in 1904, the Thomas S. Monson Center is one of the region’s most cherished historic structures. Performing meaningful upgrades inside a building of this age and significance — while it remained fully occupied and actively hosting events — required a level of care, coordination, and expertise that sets this project apart. Our scope included full structural upgrades to the building’s emergency egress systems — critical life-safety work executed with surgical precision inside a 120-year-old structure. Alongside the structural work, we completed a full replacement of the facility’s mechanical system, converting to a modern VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) system that dramatically improves efficiency and climate control throughout the building. Executing this scope in an active, event-driven environment demanded meticulous planning at every turn. Our team developed and managed a detailed phasing strategy that continuously adapted to the building’s occupancy and event calendar. Rigorous dust control measures were maintained at all times to protect both occupants and the building’s historic finishes. Ongoing, transparent communication with facility management ensured that events and daily operations were never compromised. This project reflects our ability to take on technically complex, high-stakes work inside sensitive historic environments — delivering critical building improvements while honoring over a century of history and the people who depend on this building every day.
